Eric Metzler is an Electronic Design Engineer based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with over 12 years of experience developing custom electronics from concept to production. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Electronics from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Eric specializes in power electronics, LED drivers, DMX512 lighting control systems, and embedded microcontrollers, with extensive hands-on experience in STM32, ESP32, and TI Hercules MCU families. His work includes industrial-grade power systems, battery management, motor control, and high-reliability PCB designs for aviation applications, including ARINC 429 interface boards.

While he has a background creating lighting controllers and special effects hardware for the entertainment industry, Eric’s expertise extends across a wide range of industries, from aerospace to renewable energy. He is highly proficient in Altium Designer and skilled at creating efficient, manufacturable PCB layouts, whether for dense multilayer boards or robust high-current designs.
